Meeting Minutes 4.25.13

Attending: Kori, Jill, Tony, Megan, Elise, Trisha

Vehicle Day: 10-noon on May 4th! (need to be set up by 9:40, so first shift starts at 9:15) We have a station at Southdale - Herberger's Parking Lot. Jill is doing face painting - we're right at the entrance - and a tricycle track (Kori is getting supplies). Jill spent $53 on supplies for face painting and Kori will be spending $$ for snacks and water. PAC approved $103 for Vehicle Day expenses. If you plan on going, bring canned goods or non-perishables to donate for Sabbathani food shelf.

T-Shirts: $554.57 in profit!!! $850 total earned - $295 cost of shirts. Color had to be changed from teal to blue but all were delivered and people seemed happy. Thank you Suzie!! We liked having the year on the T-Shirts - should do that again next year.

Garage Sale: see your email for the details, but whatever you have get it to Kori and she can store it in her attic for fall. Get rid of your stuff and make money for ECFE!

Next Year: MELD class has been de-funded; we are hopeful it will come back at some point. Next year will be Kori's last year as chair; need co-chair for next year who can take over the year after. Need to do some major recruiting for next year! Trisha will be gone next year, next year is Kori and Elise's last year (need a new secretary for next year; Elise will be a resource); several members are moving out of the area, so we need some new parents, preferably of young kids.

Cinco de Mayo: 5:30-7:30 on May 7th - Megan is picking up the food. Trisha ordered food from Maria's; needs to be picked up by 3 on the day. Bring to door #2 for set up. No childcare at this event; older kids can participate in the fun. Is anyone picking up supplies? (150 plates, napkins, flatware, cups, etc.) Angie is doing the craft (shakers). $200 previously approved for the event, additional $50 approved for supplies.

Treasurer Update: $1514.98 in the bank, minus expenses for the Children's Theatre event.

Site Council Update: the last meeting was cancelled, so no update.

REMINDER: Next month's meeting will be on Thursday, May 16th (The THIRD Thursday, to avoid conflict with ECFE picnic)
